The Prosperity Game

by Carol on May 11, 2012

I have been playing The Prosperity Game for the past two weeks.  Today is the last day of the game.

The concept is that the Universe gives you money every day starting with $250.00 and doubling it every day for two weeks.  Every day you then need to decide where this money came from and then where you are going to spend it.  The understanding at the beginning of the game is that all of your debts are paid and this is money you can use any way you want to.

At first the game was a lot of fun.  It was easy to decide where the money came from and even more fun giving it away.  Spending money was never an issue with me!

When the amounts from the universe were $64,000 and then $128,000 it became more challenging as to where the money came from.  I overcame that hurdle and then looked forward to the money coming in – I used my imagination and realized where I would want the money to come from.

Somewhere along the way, I started to think, “What if this was real?” how would my life change – look at all the people and organizations I could help.

A few examples of where the money came from:  sale of my Dream Journals and my Dream Coaching Programs; from speaking engagements; from investors in my Spiritual Retreat and my All About Dreaming Institute.  What did I do with some of the funds:  donated some to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Association for Retarded Citizens, Embrace… the list goes on and on… Wow!

Today, the final day of the game, the amount will be $2,048.000!  Now to imagine – where would the money come from and who will be the recipients of these funds?  Imagination get to work.

Play along – where would this amount of money come from and who could you bless?  Imagine the possibilities….

Dreams: The gateway to inner wisdom

by Carol on May 7, 2012

The key to inner wisdom

In the movie Kung Fu Panda 2, in one of the scenes Kung Fu Panda said, “It was only a bad dream” to which the Master replied, “it was a message.”

What are dreams? That is a question that many have asked.  Most people I speak with come from the psychological point of view and really have no definition of what is a dream.  Freud believed that dreams were a call from the unconscious, revealing your hidden desires.  Some people believe that a dream is only a figment of a person’s imagination or something bad that someone ate.  I, on the other hand, believe that dreams are real experiences.  Have you ever had a dream and felt you were really there?  Or, you couldn’t tell between the sleeping state and the waking state?

If a dream is a real experience, who is dreaming?  The answer is simple, Soul.  Our true identity is Soul, a Divine Spark of God.  You’ve heard the expression, “we are spiritual beings having a physical experience.”  This belief explains that saying.  We are Soul, and dreams are a higher form of education!  Dreams are our birthright.  It is the creative part of us – a gift that God has graced us with.

I had a friend who explained to me that when she dreams, the places that she visits are as real as any experience she has while she is awake.

Have you ever woken with an uncomfortable feeling or you knew what was going to happen that day? How would you know that if it wasn’t a real experience?

I’ve heard people say that they don’t dream.  Now, I don’t want to rain on their parade; however, the simple truth is is that everyone dreams every night!  American scientists Nathaniel Kleitman and Eugene Aserinsky did a scientific study on dreams.  They learned that during dreaming, their patients’ or clients’ eyes would move back and forth rapidly.  We know this to be REM sleep.  The two scientists also learned that without this REM sleep, people become anxious and irritable. An easy solution here – just go to sleep and dream.

Program yourself to dream.  You can repeat an affirmation that “I easily remember my dreams when I wake.”  Then upon awakening, relax and let the dream come to you. When it does, be sure to write it down in a dream journal.  By writing down and paying attention to your dreams, you will be opening the gateway to your inner knowledge and wisdom.

Become a purposeful dreamer.™

I was wondering what I could write about today when I ran across this article, “Mindfulness Meditation” by Christopher Lloyd Clarke.    Many people know the value of meditation.  It brings a sense of peace and calm just like when you receive a massage. Oftentimes people will say they don’t have time to meditate.  Christopher offers [...]

A Week-End Off

March 12, 2012

This past week-end, I decided to take off and just relax. My son and I went to see “A Thousand Words” which was quite enjoyable. There actually was a moral to the movie. The main character Jack (played by Eddie Murphy) was a slick, quick talking literary agent. He spoke so quickly and often that [...]
