A Week-End Off

This past week-end, I decided to take off and just relax. My son and I went to see “A Thousand Words” which was quite enjoyable. There actually was a moral to the movie.

The main character Jack (played by Eddie Murphy) was a slick, quick talking literary agent. He spoke so quickly and often that he didn’t hear what other people had to say. He was into himself.

He went to an ashram where he met a guru who agreed to give Jack the rights to his book, “A Thousand Words.” Mysteriously the tree that Jack touches and where he cuts his hand, appears in his backyard. With every word that Jack says, leaves from the tree start to fall off.

This starts Jack’s personal growth journey. I won’t give the rest of the story away; however, let’s just say that forgiveness plays a major role in the movie.

Oh, getting back to relaxing. I relaxed so much that I had a hard time falling asleep!
